i have a 06 busa w/ hahn kit spacer plate s2k injectors turbox boost controler dual stage water alcohol injection bike runs fine --i hear people making big hp
numbers --i make 200hp at 10#s and 255hp at 15#s it made basicaly same w/stock injectors how come evey one else makes more w/ same componets

One possibility is that the cam timing is off one sprocket tooth. This can happen when retiming the cams for the spacer plate. I would also check the compression and A/F under boost. How much water are you injecting? Stock injectors will work up to about 275hp. |

water injectoin is 200cc nozzle cams werent degreed stock cams just put back to stock settings pistons and rings were just done stock parts --would bike run
this good if it were off one tooth -- would bike even start?

Too much water too early ???
your making 10hp/lb boost from 10-15 psi but way less earlier, looking at your 10 psi figures i would have guessed boost leak except for your 15 psi figures . boost gauge accurate ? Dyno accurate ? |

had it on 2 differant dynos --water was switched off on one pull not a factor

On a non-intercooled engine I would expect 8-10 hp/lb. Do you have the dyno chart?
Although the water injection may not be the cause of low hp the jet size should be determined by actual flow testing. I suggest 275cc/min. These are my most likely guesses of a possible cause. I would do a leak down or compression test first to see if there is a internal mechanical problem and yes, it could be a sprocket tooth off on timing. Bad or wrong spark plugs Bad valve gap/s Bad injector/s Cam timing Possible boost leak that Maj750t mentioned

ran the same w/stock injectors then i ran s2k injectors could rule out injectors
heads were redone when 2 pistons ringlands came apart boost leaks i dont think so i checked thourghly this bike made low hp from day one at 6#s no boost controller made 190hp my mechanic who runs prostar super street and does a lot of turbo bikes doesnt think any thing is wrong |

What is his explaination for only 5hp/lb @10lbs boost?

picked up a compression tester today i am going to start there --i am wondering if boost is blowing past rings

There are so many possible causes that it is very hard to diagnose over the Internet. I once had a long e-mail exchange trying to help another turbo owner and after many ideas that didn't pan out he discovered that he was using the wrong type of spark plugs, which is so basic, it hadn't even occurred to me. If could be something as simple as one or more compression rings installed upside down. The best way to pin these issues down is follow a logical progression of trouble shooting steps starting with the easiest to do. A compression/leakdown is the place to start. I think you have already eliminated injectors as the cause. I ask about a dyno chart before. Do you have one that shows the A/F? |

dont have a chart but dyno guy is good---i have a compression tester but not a leak down one plugs are basic cr9E NGK GAPPED AT .18

did a compression yesterday 130 psi in all cylinders plugs looked a littly sooty

i have done compression test first test forgot to hold throttle wide open heres the #s #1cyl--150 #2--155 #3--155 #--150 what would be next logical thing to
look at valves --i dont think its jumped a tooth it runs to smooth

I would pull the valve cover and check the valve clearance & cam timing. With stock cam sprockets you can use the OEM timing marks to verify that its not a
tooth off.

yeah did all the checks my turbo mechanic says in real world 16g makes 260 thats it

I have a super 16G and have run it up to 380hp on the dyno. 400 would be possible with a few more pounds of boost. I don't have a 16 compressor map but do
not believe that it can only support 260. From what you have explained, if your serious about getting more power, I suggest your going to need another
mechanic. At this point any further pushing would be telling him that he may be wrong and you know how that is going to end up. I would either be satisified
with what you have or look elsewhere for help.

yeah he is the third mechanic he is 2 -1/2 hours away i have been trying to get 300hp out of this for a year every thing seems to check out bike runs fine --i
wish it would make 300hp--
